WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT
WE’RE GLAD YOU CAME
No matter where you are in life, you are welcome here. We are a wheelchair accessible facility and our Sanctuary (worship space) is air conditioned. A do-it-yourself Nursery Room with church-service audio system. There is plenty of parking, handicapped as well. Greeters will welcome you and answer any questions you may have. We have a coat room, directly beyond the main entrance doors. There is a Gathering Space for you to enjoy a cup of coffee before or after worship service.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You will see people in a wide array of clothing from dress to jeans. Wear what you feel comfortable in.
WHAT ABOUT THE SERVICE?
As you enter the Sanctuary, our worship space, the Ushers will give you a bulletin which has the order of service. (Large print bulletins are available upon request.)
SHARING OF THE PEACE?
We are a very friendly congregation and share peace with others! It involves shaking hands or extending the peace sign to one another and saying, “peace be with you.” That symbolic action also has important spiritual meaning for us. It is a sign that we are a community at peace with one another through the peace Jesus Christ extends to us.
COMMUNION?
All are invited to receive communion by Jesus Christ himself.
When we get to the Holy Communion part of the service, after the elements of bread and wine/juice are blessed, communicants are invited to come forward in single file via the center aisle, receive the elements (a wafer and cup of wine or juice) from the Pastor and the Communion Assistant, and return to their seats via the side aisle. The empty cup is dispensed in the basket at the end of the front pew. A gluten-free option is available. Ask the Pastor or Communion Assistant at that time.
